I want to knit you a sweater, I wanna write you a love letter...

I'm stealing Lori's idea. [Full credit to you my sweet]

I have a girl crush. She's still the new girl, and I like that about her. She's not insular Westbury - ness.

Poor thing has fallen into something, and alas it's making her the outcast which is sad, as when exactly the same situation happened with some others earlier in the year public opinion didn't turn against them. I don't care to be honest. If it makes them happy and that's what they choose then we just have to live it. They aren't doing anything worong, if they're doing anything at all, which some how I don't think they are.

She's lovely to me. She writes me scraps of poems on paper and hides them in pigeon holes. I knit for her, and we dance and sing and skip. It's like have someone to channel your expression, and that's why. I want to knit you sweater.

Even though we've spent some lovely times with each other, I still feel like she'd and unread book to me. I want to really be her, friend and yet she seemssodistant, like she'd hiding a tiny bit of herself, that I can't reach. Still a little bit of you laced with my doubt.

Autumn Girl

Like a leaf
a study in neutral tones
she goes
and within her
An unwritten song
you see
It's not a label
it's the way she is
orange smiles that light her
eyes laced with green
The handwriting a relic of a
far - away education
a place that she holds
deeply dear
but she is
so transient.
Before she leaves
I touch her cheek
My first poem in an age.
YAY!
Today has been well for want of a better word, weird.
I don't want to write about that.
Tomorrow I will plait and pin the hair of little expectant girls, waiting to journey into a n exam room. A pianist will be there, and they will dance to rich tones and an upright. with their be-ribboned hair and be-ribboned fett they'll stand. numbered, and smile nervously. "Good morning Miss Examiner" Then they'll dance and we'll see if the practice has paid off, if tears can earn marks, and performance is more than a smile.
And then i have a perty to go to.! lol

Sometimes

You don't want to write about anything real.

So I'm going to let my thought run riot on digital free paper.

It's snowing in Bath, or so Rob says. I crave some snow. The bit fat sort of flake that makes my cry a little because it is soft and cold and pretty. I want to be soft and cold and pretty, here in my snowy jumper. Lizzy calls me pretty. Rob calls me beautiful. Maybe oh yes I am.

I might call someone random beautiful today. Like he said.

I love knitting.

I'll be back soon.

The sky is thick with clouds. It's coming. The snow must be coming. The wind has blown it in from the northeast. A good sign. Yorkshire down to London had snow.

I must go now. I have French.

I feel a severe compulsion to

WRITE
So here I am.
I'll start where I can remember which is all of Friday. 4-5 days is your limit folks.
Friday at school is a haze in my memory. I remember a little of Thursday as I was on a School Council team interviewing prospective replacements for our retiring headmaster. The one I liked, who I had a secret suspicion was Christian didn't make it into the second round of interviews, but my second choice was chosen by the powers that are the school governors. He's coming from a really rough school in Oxford. He'll probably be able to handle Matravers. Seems very hands on.
Friday evening, I went to music practice for church. Twas interesting trying to sing with a new person who is tone deaf. Was harder with our pastor there, a really good singer. I was competing with perfect pitch and no pitch. I had to stick my fingers in my ears and everything.
Saturday. I got up and practically went to the bank in my pjs as I wanted to get there before it shut. I was getting out car tax money. Little Car is now on the road and taking my darling to work. The silly insurance companies won't be sorting anything till April, so Little Car was really very God given in her timing. But that's besides the point atm. I got back from the bank had a shower and re did my hair darker again. Which I liked.
Saturday evening Rob and I babysat for some friends of my parents and we had a thoroughly good time. I plaited Abigail's hair and played with Bratz dolls, whilst Rob and Kieran played motor racing on the PS2. After I put them to bed Rob and I watched Spiderman 2 and then played Crash Bandicoot Nitro Races or something which I really liked. Spiderman 2 is really rather good visually. I love the opening credits, as they give just the right period comic book feel.
It was a really great evening, so much so that I felt guilty taking money for it. It was one of those evening when I felt grateful for my relationship in a different way. I'd forgotten how much Rob and I have become friends. We were friends in one way when I had a crush on him all those years ago. But we're best friends now. I can have a great time with him without being sat on his lap, or holding his hand, or talking mush with him. We can have a laugh dissecting a film. Or trying to beat each other at a video game. It's cool just be together. I really am grateful for this.
Rob kipped in our front room, and on Sunday we took Little Car on her first adventure. She went to church, and then she went to Halfords where we got a Shaun the Sheep air freshener because she smelt so bad. We also got a tax disc holder for our newly purchased tax disc, and a demist cloth and some T -Cut to make her all clean and shiny. Then it was off into Trowbridge for a Boots first aid kit, as they're cheaper than Halfords, and to Argos to look at car alarms. Now Little Car isn't really worth anything, and no one would really want to steal her, there are some suspicious people round Rob's way who most people think trashed his moped when they could get it started when they tried to steal it,so we're being on the safe side.
She's going to the posh car wash on Saturday.
I've mostly been knitting a kittyville hat for Lori, and some cool black and white fingerless gloves for Sarah. Pictures when I can. Oh ook I'm tired typing going down hill.
Monday and today have been schooley. I chopped a chunk out my thumb on Monday in Art, trying to make a print block. Which I proudly finished on Monday night at home. My choreography has been going well too. I'm quite excited.
I'm finally actually knitting something for myself. A pair of convertible fingerless gloves mittens in schocking - yes -schocking - pink with quite probably a nice shimmery edging from my Christmas stash. So this is the end of my mighty entry. I'm off to prepare for desperate Housewives, another educational program. Oh you know Like Sex and the City.
How not to live you life....hehe

Woah woah woah....

I'm not going to be lazy I'm going to blog...so first off!

Little Car didn't pass her MOT. :-( But, it's going to cost only a maximum of £200 to fix her.:-) She needs a new back tyre, some break things and something I don't remember exactly and didn't understand what the man at the garage was talking about anyway, though Rob and his dad appeared to. So that's great. With repairs, tax and MOT fee, I will have in effect got a car for £300 which is asaving on £100 on the asking price for other Kia Pride LX's on Autotrader. Ao I'm all happy.

Rob also managed to get fully comprehensive insurance with Tesco Online for the very small amount in insurance land of £750. I mean due to boyracers spoling it for the majority of the male under 25 population Rob was being quoted an averge of £1000 by the major insurers so that's great. We love TESCO!

Again, that reminds me I need to ring the driving instructor now I know when most of my Bugsy rehearsals will be.

Phew...

I'm back on my eating healthily after Christmas, and I feel really energised and confident. I'm currently 54kg which puts me near the overweight bmi mark again, at 24, so I'm aiming for my pre christmas bmi of a healthy 21. My dancing has improved so much with all the decent food i've been eating. Te complex carbohydrates and the chocolate for one week of the month rule really works.

Our family party was on the 8th and I had a really nice time enjoying showing off my fiancé to all the family. My Gran was one of 8 children, so it's her brothers and sisters, their spouses, their children, and the grandchildren. I'm the oldest granchild and so everyonewas really excited by our news. I showed off my ring, and my photos, and my wonderful life book that my mum and dad made for my 18th birthday, a big album filled with photos and pictures and bits of writing for every year of my life so far. Let's hope the page for 2005 will be just as wonderful.

I wore my red ballgown with the sleeves sewn back on for winter wear. I loved it. When I walked down the stairsRob was like "Who's the lucky guy you're going with" which did I have to say kinda make my evening.

Everyone in my family had a kinda red theme going on, as according to my mum, it's the 40th anniversary of out famy party, they've been having a party around christmas time for 40 years! How cool is that. We also have a family picnic in the New Forest in the summer too. It's lovely to feel part of a community like that.

I'm gradually dying my hair darker too.. I just fancy trying a darker colour. Atm I have a wash in wash out golden brown and i'll top it up slowly do I don't get a culture shock from uddenly havingblack hair.llol

A long line of confusing things.

I'll work backwards shall I?

My eyes hurt. I shall be booking an optitians appointment. I also have to get an MOT booked for little car. Yes Little Car, the source of some friction. Little Car is a gift from a friend of mum's who was given her dad's car when he dies. Little Car was unwanted and the friend offered it tome. I took it without really thinking It through, going along the lines of I need a car to drive after I've learnt. Which reminds me I also need to phone the driving intstructor. But that must wait until I've got my rehearsal schedule for Bugsy. Argh too many things.

Poor Rob I threw him in the deep end with me acepting this car. I didn't think about him paying insurance, or repairs etc... Now on I'll listen to him. I hate being a bad fiancée and I don't want that to translate into being a bad wife. The short answer? Don't give me money.

It's the day before the last day of the Christmas holidays. I've been collating over the last few days a list of snippets on the three topics that will be in my French Writing Paper retake on the 10th of Jan. I need info that is not covered in the booklet that relates specifically to France or the French speaking world. Le monde francophone! Things like in 1997 575 million euro was spent using Minitel in France and in 2002 this number fell to 377 million euro because of more services being available on the internet. Oh the joy it should be finished tomorrow morning.

The other thing I've been doing today is bidding on ebay for Nokia 3200s as my mobile phone is finally giving up. I've fallen for the idea of a radio on my phone as I love Radio 4 and it'd be cool to have it wherever I go. The next ones finish tomorrow morning so I'm actually going to have to get up after a holiday of lazy mornings.

New year was lovely. I went to a Party at Lizzy's which was also a birthday party for Jon, who was born on the 1st. Rob and I gave him a singing dancing fluffy monkey thing, which gives you a big insight into one half of his personality. I had a nice time getting to know Lizzy's friend Steph, so much so we even swapped insignificant rings. I also had fun fitting in with drunk people whilst being sober, as this is when my normal wild eccentricities can go unnoticed or rather seem perfectly acceptable to drunk people. Much amusmant was to be had by Rob from watching me.

The new digital camera has been put to good use for the art project meaning the teachers might not kill me completely as there are some stonkers ready for use, though nothing more in a sketch book. I think I'm loosing my touch there a little. It may just be over kill. [Just to make absolutely clear...these are friends of mine not me and Rob...lol]

Funny how some music moves you beyond eh? I'm rediscovering the joy in good music just in time for my choreography paper. This is going to be such a year.

Resolutions.

  • To do more creative things as a couple - stage fighting, composing, writing.
  • Pass A Levels with the grades I need to get to Southampton
  • Appreciate the little things
  • Get into reading my Bible.
