It's so unfair.

Please note I am extremely angry at the world for it's injustice towards me. I know people are dying of hunger and there are loads of economic problems.

At the moment I'm distraught because the holiday we had planned with some people i know has fallen through. They split up, and so because we're christians and have to keep away from the appearance of evil and not be left alone at any stupid time means that ive wasted about £400.

Only now they're back together and seem to be going to Reading. How conveniant. I feel evil for even thinking this. They so obvious;ly didn't want to come with us and will have abetter time at Reading.

Leave me and Rob with the problem of £180 missing from my uni fund, because we had to buy the ferry tickets early. So what's my legal status? DO they have to pay me? is it polite to pay me back since they were adamant they wanted to come?

We asked some other friends, but the guys rents aren't happy with it, and the girl won't come on her own. Atm i'm willing to pay for another friend to come and keep her company.

If it wasn't for the fact Rob has to live with his rent, i'd go on our own in the blink of an eyelid.

I don't care if anyone reading htis thinks i'm a cold hearted selfish blanket blank. Heck I know I am. Just for once, just for effing once, I would like something I organise to go right. I'd like to be able have a nice time. I'd like to go away without my rents like normal people do.

Why do people assume we're going to sleep together? For goodness sake. We've been together for 2 years+. We've had ample opportunity. We've been left home alone and you didn't come back to find us at it like bunnies. We have self control. We're coping. We've fallen asleep int he back of a truck. Nothings happenned? What is your problem? It's like you want me to fail so you can gloat.

Okay rant over.

Oh the deadwood stage is rolling all over the hills..

That's not the actual words. That's not my point. I'm having a Calamity Jane of week and it's only Tuesday!

I get up late..entirely my own fault, but then rescue my self by working overfast and actually arriving early! See I'm so twisted I do things backwards. Then there was the fire drill right in the middle of my art lesson, meaning I had to leave my piece of 3d cubist inspired sewing, and when I came back I promptly sewed my side pieces on upside down!

The next straw came after my amzing frenching speaking exam practice session. More on that session actuallly, I flowed. I felt like I was having a proper conversation with my teacher. It was
so fun..I feel far more confident about my exam now....but back to the point... I lost my art folder with everything I'd done that day inside it, and the knitting I was doing! I went back around school, I looked in every class room. Despondant..I went home

Another straw for my back came as I rushed off to youthgroup. I'd planned this great game to emphasise being careful of rushing into things, and making deals you don't understand. I'd preapred a selection of horrible and nice finger foods, ie grapes, olives, mushrooms, mints. But as I raced round to the centre, the olives leaked on my marshmallows and then went all soggy and had to be disposed of. I washed off the rest of the food when I arrived. The game was a success though..I was impressed that both of the girls ate everything with onnly one chickening out after the olives. Except I wouldn't let her chicken out as I'd made a contract with them.

The final straw was right at the end of the evening, we played a drama game called 'Freeze'. Two people act out a scene, when the audience gets bored, they yell freeze, and one of the actors is replaced. The new actor has to take the exact shape of the depating one, but must change the scene completely. Fussy eater girl wrecked the game completely, talk about having no imagination. She's not shy, she's not stupid, but she just stood there going "I don't like drama I don't know what to do" with a huge grin on her face.

It's not like she was in front of a crowd of hundreds, she was in a room with 5 other people. Afew weeks ago when the youth were asked whatthey'sdlike to be doing more of, she voted for drama, saying "I love Drama" Grrrr.............

Isn't this a lovely idea

We had a shortage of single men and women invited to our wedding, most of our friends and family were already married. So we needed to come up with something different to replace the traditional bouquet and garter throwing. We invited everyone to the dance floor and the dj played several lovely, slow songs. First the dj told all couples married two hours or less to sit down (everyone got a kick out of that). Then a few moments later, any married a year or less, than five years, ten years and so on, until there was only one couple left. They were neighbors and friends of my family and had been married for fifty years. We asked them to stay on the dance floor while I took a seat and my husband made a big show of removing my garter. We then faced the winning couple, congratulated them on their fifty years and asked them for their best marriage advice as we presented them with the bouquet and garter. They were very touched and it gave us a great feeling too

Who Should You Vote For?

Who Should You Vote For?

Oh I'm looking forward to this general election! It's the first time I'll be able to vote and I intendto make full use of my democratic right.

I urge anyone who can to do so too. If the whole country got off their bottoms and voted, then we might see a change for good in this country.

I'm leaning towards LibDem atm, as voting for them would be true to my current views, as a would be student. Now whether they'd be better for the whole country I don't know.

Higher taxation for people who earn more than £100k seems fair to me. If they earn that much, they can afford to contribute more to the running of the country.

What I'd really like to see is money being used effectively. The school system is pants, and as someone who's nearly finished with it, I have lots of horror stories. The NHS, once our national pride and joy is crippled. If Mr Blair can suddenly find £200million to sort out school dinners, the latest celeb campaign, then why can't is suddenly find £200millon to renovate a few hospital wards or buy my school science books it sorely needs?

Why has Mr Blair lied to us so often? Top Up Fees for example? If Labour get back into power I'm going to be saddled with more debt for studying to be a secondary school teacher, another much needed service. LibDem all the way with that one! Maybe teachers should get their tuition fees paid like someone who wants to become a doctor/nurse/midwife.

ANYHOO

Who Should You Vote For?

Who should I vote for?

Labour -15
Conservative -17
Liberal Democrat 36
UK Independence Party 10
Green 20

You should vote: Liberal Democrat

The LibDems take a strong stand against tax cuts and a strong one in favour of public services: they would make long-term residential care for the elderly free across the UK, and scrap university tuition fees. They are in favour of a ban on smoking in public places, but would relax laws on cannabis. They propose to change vehicle taxation to be based on usage rather than ownership.

Take the test at Who Should You Vote For

*Edit* I'm fuming now....no one told me, and I didn't see it in the papers, or online, or anywhere. To be able to vote in the May 05 elections you had to register by 11th March 2005.

It says on http://www.aboutmyvote.co.uk that a during the 'annual canvas' a form would have been put through the door so everyone in my household could register. Well we didn't get one. I'm going to hassle some people now... I'm ANGRY!!!!!!

I'm knitting for me again

Damn it's gratifying!

Glampyre if you read this forgive me for bastardising your boobholder/minisweater pattern.

Yes I am making my first ever adult sweater. Yes I'm doing it without a pattern. Yes in cheap acrylic yarn because it will wash well. In red to match my luciously red gold hair which Rob dyed for me.

imagine if you will a victorian-esque with puffed sleeves going into tight fitted ones in 2x2 rib, the minisweater top and a 2x2 rib body. It's goin gto hug me and love me.

I hope it works

Something of an updato

Easter hols have gone from a week of play and pain ot a week of hard graft in time for school. It's been basically a holiday to do work in...so i'm off to do more art.

I enjoyed last week, but it had some of the most painful moments of my life so far in it. I really hope I can learn from it and keep going.

A very Happy Easter to you all....

I hope the English blog-sphere is enjoying the 4 day weekend the powers that be give us over the Easter Weekend.

I'm on Easter Holiday, or what will be renamed next year Spring Holiday, much in the way the Americans have Spring Break. This is due to school authoritis moving to a six term school year. Shorter summer holidays, longer half terms, and a fixed 'Easter/Spring' Holiday, to avoid incredibly short terms at spring time. I can't make up my mind as to whether it's a good idea or not. 4 weeks does not seem a long enough break for children to shake school out of their system before being chucked back into the sea of learning. But for working parentals, it might be a boon, as they would no longer have to find childcare for six weeks. That too is a double bladed sword, as they'd have to find extra time in Feb and Oct instead.

It won't really bother me after, as I'll be at uni, and really you're never there at uni anyway are you?

We had our Easter Service yesterday at church. Lots of songs talking about empty tombs and cleansing, saving blood. Rob's mum, or the MILTB preached on people forgetting exactly what happenned at Easter, using the Road to Emmaus section of Luke 24, how we become like Cleopas and focus on our own sadness and shortcomings and do not live as if Jesus has risen. Though I found part of the message challenging, the' You get excited part, you can run around church no one will stop you bit' Yes no one will stop us, and we could, but I felt like I was being subtly told to do that. What if I have a another way of rejoicing?

After the service I did the dutiful fiancée bit and tidied up the cables and mike stand and the sound desk, as Rob was rushing off to football and I didn't want him to be late. I also did sound as the sound man for yesterday had just become a grandfather to twins and so understandbly wasn't at church. I find doing sound really hard sometimes as I find it difficult to distinguish between sounds. I'd be hopeless trying to tune a guitar. But it's useful that I help out, so that's why I'm learning. Besides Rob's always around to gesture wildly if Iget terrrible feedback or something.

I went home to Roast chicken and veg, and chocolate puddle pudding, that my sister makes like a star and is to die for hot or cold. Then I had to hunt round the garden for my easter eggs, as we've always done. As everyone knew I've been watching my weight I recieved nice small ones that won't do too much damage. The little programme I made up for my self has work a treat. I've lost a stone and then a little. What I've been doing, is eating really carefully for 3 weeks a month, and then when it's the wrong time of the month, when choclate is not only a delicious foodstuff, but a mood altering necessary drug, I am allowed to eat what I like when. It's a good incentive to put that biscuit back in the cupboard when you know you'll be able to eat what ever you like in three weeks time or whatever.

At Rob's in the afternoon I ended up with another Roast dinner thoug I ate considerably less, and we had jam roly poly with maple chocolate sauce at 9pm when we were watching Troy. Iwas treating my slef to quick knit yesterday of fine gauge pink wool I bought on the cone at a charity shop on 2.75mm making up a lace pattern as I go. I think it's going to be a neckerchief with rose leaf lace from www.knitting-and.com

Troy is one of those good films for talking and watching at the same time. Rob and I had a nice chat, about film related and other wise topics with out everloosing the plot. Whther or not that makes Troy a bad film or not I don't know. I like the fight scenes!

A knitting update...

Here is one of the things I've been working on recently.

A pair of pink stripy leg warmers, with graduated shaping to fit muscley dancers legs, and a tiny bit of pattern. Knit on 3mm double points with DK cheap pink acrylic yarn from the local super market.

Hilarious Mime Routine

Just go check it out. I nealry wet myself.

Hilarious Mime Routine

Hilarious Mime Routine

Just go check it out. I nealry wet myself.

So and now the end is near...

I've faced the final curtain.

Apart from misquoting Sinatra...

Bugsy is finished. I've never been less proud of a performance. Matravers managed to pull it out of the bag on the night, but that's not a professional way to work, is it? We started rehearsing too late, in fact we've put on a full scale musical in about a month. Students and teahcers were pulled of timetable to rehearse. But it's over now and the sudiences though it was wonderufl. Which at the end of the day is what counts.

I've been ill, with achey limbs and headaches and sleep deprivation. In fact yesterday I slept from 11pm to 8am, and then from 9am to 3 pm. I feel like I could do with another few hours.

I managed to write up the aforeposted french coursework in record time, and so am incredibly proud. I think it's a nice bit of social commentry for a less than perfect french speaker. This leaves me with history coursework and a dance essay to do for next week. I should be fine.

As for knitting? Well I've started a boob holder from Glampyre in red acrylic that I'm going to modify by adding long sleeves and a body section in either 2x2 or 1x1 rib. I might put a cable in somewhere, or try a spiral rib.

Now can anyone think of a good title for this?

Alex Jones 13.1

Mentally applauds self.

I got a B I got a B I got a B I got a B!

*imagine that said really really fast*

I'm a happy bunny, God has nicely saved my day from being a traumatised whirl of a day where I was told to F*** off by a certain person lots. I got a B on my french retake. This was the exam where I got an E last time. So I've gone from a E at 34 points to a B at 70:), I only needed 4 more points or something equally small to raise my entire grade from a C to B...I got them yeah!!! That leaves me with 3 A's and possibly an A or a B in french.

Happy Happy Alex.

And kudos and hugs to Sarahbean who got all A's on her retakes and modules and now posesses a nice set of A's!

But with all this excitement I manages to mess up mylace pattern in my lacy scarf, so I'm off to frog a few rows....:-(

Out of the rain

and in the warm and dry.

Please would everyone say yay because Alex as got bored of being miserable. I saw how miserable I was making Rob by being miserable after a huge msna nd phone conversation and decided to snap out of it sharpish.

I have made my sock and nearly finished it's pair but it has the first one has unfortunately gone missing! The great sock hunt has started.

School is going well now... after some scary hairy moments, my choreography is back on track and should be good. I just have to pull out a few bits of something special.

Now does anyone have any awkward questions they'd like to ask? Are you nosy?

On the most horrible of days.

Overheard in my awful dance rehearsal.

J - intelligent, witty, beeyootiful, indie guy- "If you ate curved sausages would they taste like bananas?"

S - black wearing, gorgeous, huggable, acidic girl- " No, they'd just taste curvy."

THAT HAS BEEN QUITE LITERALLY THE HIGHLIGHT OF MY DAY SO FAR.

I don't want to talk about it. I'm knitting a sock. My first whole sock. In Green. With a tiny cable, being cabled with out a cable needle. And I can do millenery.

Rob please come do your knight in shining armour bit and rescue me!

And the sun sets on winter skies

And inside the small girl cries.

A week of things that I can't yet write. But we shall see.

I've started my driving lessons. Half the time I forget that I've never done this before, and then the rest? Well I sit there, arms tense beneath long sleeves trying to leave dents in the steering wheel with my thumbs. I nearly ran over a suicidal pheasant today. A Buzzard nearly flew in to my car. I can use third gear. I stop too soon at junctions.

I do feel free though. I know enough now that if I needed to run away, to go, I could steal a car and I'd know enough to comfortably cruise at 40mph whatever the speed limit like my Dad. Gear changing is instinctive, which scares me somewhat.

This week a head filling cold as filled my life with mucus, but it hasn't been that bad.

I stayed at Lizzy's on Sunday night. Some how it's good to find a girly friend to whom I don't have to explain poetry, or someone who feels okay to be quiet with me or cry at the sad bits without laughing. And there were plenty of sad bits in '100 greatest tearjerkers' on Channel 4 so we cried together. And it was grand.

Monday we got up early to go to a rehearsal at school that I left considerably early due to my ill health. Busy appears to be falling slowly and perftly apart with les than a month before curtain up. Still, the dancers will be perfect. Brew will expect nothing less so we, again may rescue the show.

Rob came over that after noon and we lay together on my floor, talking, holding each other, whilst he tried to convince me to stay at home. But I refused. After all it was Valentines day and he'd booked a table at a Chinese Restaurant in his home town. According to a newpaper article one of the most unromantic places to take a Valentine, but for us it was wonderful. Afterall it is the people around you, the atmosphere of a place and your own attitudes that define a romantic evening, and we can make going bowling or to KFC romantic, so we had a wonderful time.

We ordered a set menu and were greeted by a feast. A plate of little starters, like spring rolls, crispy seaweed, prawn seasame toasts, and spare ribs, then crispy aromatic duck with panckes and hoisin sauce. Then came rice with stir fried vegetables and sweet anf sour chicken. For me owever the piece de resistance was beef in a spicy black bean sauce that came to table very nearly done but was then poured onto a hot-stone platter and sizzled it's final chemical changes in front of us. Pure theatre and delicious to boot. I rounded the meal off with a deep fried ice cream, rather in the Baked Alaska line, replacing meringue with a batter made from egg whites and dessicated coconut. Hot on the outside, cool on the inside and a fitting end to a beautiful evening. What we said to each other doesn't matter. He made me happy.

Rob stayed in our front room that night and on Tuesday we spent the whole day together, playing talking, and watching films. I was too ill to go into school to do art see and so Rob looked after me like any good future husband would. He then took me into town so we could buy ingredients for the evenings entertainment.

The dinner party was a great sucess. Kudos to Lizzy for providing the house for the venue. 6 people, Nachos, Bacon and Kiwi salad, Smoked Salmon and Cream Cheese parcels, Lasagne, Garlic Bread, Salad, were followed by a culinary triumph. Meringue Swans. [JON they were great]

Then came an abandoned game of Trivial Persuit, a half watched dvd of Wimbeldon, and Chocolate Fondue, Strawberries and Milkyway Buttons at 12:30am. We talked, we laughed, we swapped jokes. We teased Sam for patronising Sarah's efforts to serve the lasagne. Then we slept.

The morning brought dreary faces, and bacon sarnies. Rob and I managed to skip the cleaning with guilty conciences as he whisked me off to my departmental open day at Southampton Uni. We atelunch there bit only stopped for the talk. I wasn't well, and couldn't face walking around things I'd explored for myself the last open day. We missed the turnings on the way home for Rob to stop and buy his game in Southampton, and then Salisbury doesn't have a HMV as we found, having to pay 90p's parking for the privilage.

He left me at home and Thursday brought me in bed for most of the day feeling poorly. I worked in the evening thinking hard about work and nothing else and surprisingly the time flew by. Which reminds me I have to pick up my wage slip.

Friday Rob surprised me and took me to Bath on the spur of the moment. He bought his game and I bought a beautiful skirt. I bought Aloe flabour vaseline for my chapped lips. We ate KFC in the car park. It was grand. Then I went to his house, and knitted a bit whilst he played his game and we played it, and we cooked spagetti before going to music practice. Which was joke as we couln't get in for ages.

A rite of passage has been marked in our house. My biggest littel sister, Ellie, got her first pair of pointe shoes, [toe shoes] So last night saw me teaching her how to balance, all week I've been darning the toes of her shoes, as she can't do it, though she sewed the ribbons on herself. She's got that feeling of beinga real ballet dancer now. How she'll grow to love those shoes as they mark her feet, scar her, and cause toenails to fall off. Because when she sees herself in a mirror or on film, she won't see the blood or blisters, she'll see the make believe effortlessness of a corru across the floor and that will mkae it worth it.

Feeling the same way all over again.

Up and down I feel like I'm on a delicious roller coaster speeding towards my future.

Still knitting my art pictures, my baby jumper and numerous other things.

Ahh... Konstatine by Something Corporate. I love this and again it's on my speakers.

Since I last wrote.

I invited a dear friend to my church and whilst she wasn't miraculously converted she appeared to have got something from the service.
We all ate together afterwards because we had a visiting pastor and it was nuce to eat good food with friends.
Rob whisked me away to Bath after that, to the cinema and Pizza Hut for a treat. It's so nice to be spoiled so. We watched Oceans's 12. I loved the capoeria villian..:-)

This week at school nothing much of note happenned besides two things:-

I began organising our leavers ball. With the help of half the Sixth Form council. lol I just wrote the Sith Council. Hell yeah they're all part of the dark side...heheh

We're having a oriental theme for decorations but not for costumes. Chinese laterns from the ceiling, red baloons with gold chinese characters filled helium in the middle of the tables.

I've nearly finished what might be one of the best pieces of painting I've ever done.

I received a lovely painting of myself and a gorgeous rainbow scarf from Lori. For a person who has never met me you certainly know my taste. The scarf is so me, and the colours of the painting are my favourites.

Last night I had music practice for church and it was strange trying to sing witha sore throat. I also started to give a very much non singer some singing lessons o see if I could get her to sing in tune. Man is this going to be fun.

Rob treated me to a chinese last night too. He's really rather wonderful really. Don't you think?

Well today...

Alex did these things....

Alex got up and plaited her hair whilst in bed waiting for the bathroom to be free.

This is okay as Alex cannot wash her hair everyday.

She gets triangle head.

Alex then managed to strip her bed - which is as high as a bunkbed - whilst sitting on it, and dropping approximately 10 books to the floor from ther reading pile on her bed.

She's reading 'Wild Swans', and Reagan's autobiography.

Alex went to dance today in her friends car. Friend is a very new but good driver. Alex enjoyed the extra minutes at home going with someone else who can't be organised by her mum provided.

Alex wanted to dance at her dance lesson today, but spent three hours providing suggestions for the costumes of her dance teachers show. Most of these were unacceptable. As the show is 'The Magician's Nephew', Alex is Aslan and gets a white shiny catsuit to be painted up, well, 'Cats' style.

Alex has bought a small bit of her wedding outfit today, made vegan brownies, and sticky, transparent, peppermint ice toffee, and found documents for her french research.

Alex also babysat and earn't money whilst fending off a scary dog, teachinga teenage boy how to get further on the the Bounce game provided on Nokia phones and plaiting a little girls hair.

Alex feels she sincerely rocks for this.

Alex also watched a while rugby match today for the first time and found her closet rugby fan. She almost understood it too. Alex feels sheepish for secretly rooting for Wales not England.

Alex is happy.

Again.

Got a Problem With That.

PS...Alex also knitted and frogged the same swatch x lots.

Yesterday,

I worked on my dance. It's going quite well, but I'm sure that my poor dancers are getting fed up with me. I am, by my own admittance, a hard task mistress. However this once, I'll let myself be as it's my Alevel and I want it to be good. Today I must work through the 'Grief' motif.

When i got in after a history lesson that almost bored me to sleep, I didn't do everything I thought I'd do. You know how it is you get in and get entraced by something, and then you're off on one. I did however use my mum'd cross stitch pattern generating program to make a knitting chart for a piece of art.

Yes a piece of art. I thought I'd marry my two loves in order to inspire me to actually do some art. It's working so far, and I've worked about two inches. Floowing my pattern is hard though as I stupidly printed it in black and white and am now unable to see the grid on the black sections. But I think I'll make it. Next tome I'll follow my mum's instructions and go for red and white or something so the black grid shows through.

It's being worked in black acrylic I found in a stash bag, and some shiny white acylic that looks as if it were hand spun, but isn't if that makes sense.

Lizzy finally emailed me the nice picture of me trying on wedding dresses when I went to Monsoon about a week after getting engaged. As I won't be buying them it doesn't matter if Rob sees so you can see them on a blog near you at some point.

Tonight I'm going to Robs again to cook, like last week. THis is a nice habit I'm getting into, and it makes me feel very happy.

YAY!

I'm moved

Listening to Konstantine - Something Corporate and crying my eyes out with happiness and sheer sadness.

It's moved me in an unknown way. I had an overwhelming desire to tell Rob how much i care for him, to show him that I'm so happy. I really really love him.

Today has been interesting. I went trampolining. I love that feel of freedom, of being in mid air.

I saw two yellow peugeots parked next to each other.

I observed what it's like to be totally smitten.

I'm so happy.

Self esteem = Success

--------

Expectation

I lowered my expectations and now i'm so much happier. I don't need to go to oxford to be happy. I don't need to get a phd to be happy. Can you aspire to mediocracy? In a meritocracy? Alain de Bottan is right. A rigid class system can leave people happier.

And somehow I know what my place should be.

:-)

I want to knit you a sweater, I wanna write you a love letter...

I'm stealing Lori's idea. [Full credit to you my sweet]

I have a girl crush. She's still the new girl, and I like that about her. She's not insular Westbury - ness.

Poor thing has fallen into something, and alas it's making her the outcast which is sad, as when exactly the same situation happened with some others earlier in the year public opinion didn't turn against them. I don't care to be honest. If it makes them happy and that's what they choose then we just have to live it. They aren't doing anything worong, if they're doing anything at all, which some how I don't think they are.

She's lovely to me. She writes me scraps of poems on paper and hides them in pigeon holes. I knit for her, and we dance and sing and skip. It's like have someone to channel your expression, and that's why. I want to knit you sweater.

Even though we've spent some lovely times with each other, I still feel like she'd and unread book to me. I want to really be her, friend and yet she seemssodistant, like she'd hiding a tiny bit of herself, that I can't reach. Still a little bit of you laced with my doubt.

Autumn Girl

Like a leaf
a study in neutral tones
she goes
and within her
An unwritten song
you see
It's not a label
it's the way she is
orange smiles that light her
eyes laced with green
The handwriting a relic of a
far - away education
a place that she holds
deeply dear
but she is
so transient.
Before she leaves
I touch her cheek
My first poem in an age.
YAY!
Today has been well for want of a better word, weird.
I don't want to write about that.
Tomorrow I will plait and pin the hair of little expectant girls, waiting to journey into a n exam room. A pianist will be there, and they will dance to rich tones and an upright. with their be-ribboned hair and be-ribboned fett they'll stand. numbered, and smile nervously. "Good morning Miss Examiner" Then they'll dance and we'll see if the practice has paid off, if tears can earn marks, and performance is more than a smile.
And then i have a perty to go to.! lol

Sometimes

You don't want to write about anything real.

So I'm going to let my thought run riot on digital free paper.

It's snowing in Bath, or so Rob says. I crave some snow. The bit fat sort of flake that makes my cry a little because it is soft and cold and pretty. I want to be soft and cold and pretty, here in my snowy jumper. Lizzy calls me pretty. Rob calls me beautiful. Maybe oh yes I am.

I might call someone random beautiful today. Like he said.

I love knitting.

I'll be back soon.

The sky is thick with clouds. It's coming. The snow must be coming. The wind has blown it in from the northeast. A good sign. Yorkshire down to London had snow.

I must go now. I have French.

I feel a severe compulsion to

WRITE
So here I am.
I'll start where I can remember which is all of Friday. 4-5 days is your limit folks.
Friday at school is a haze in my memory. I remember a little of Thursday as I was on a School Council team interviewing prospective replacements for our retiring headmaster. The one I liked, who I had a secret suspicion was Christian didn't make it into the second round of interviews, but my second choice was chosen by the powers that are the school governors. He's coming from a really rough school in Oxford. He'll probably be able to handle Matravers. Seems very hands on.
Friday evening, I went to music practice for church. Twas interesting trying to sing with a new person who is tone deaf. Was harder with our pastor there, a really good singer. I was competing with perfect pitch and no pitch. I had to stick my fingers in my ears and everything.
Saturday. I got up and practically went to the bank in my pjs as I wanted to get there before it shut. I was getting out car tax money. Little Car is now on the road and taking my darling to work. The silly insurance companies won't be sorting anything till April, so Little Car was really very God given in her timing. But that's besides the point atm. I got back from the bank had a shower and re did my hair darker again. Which I liked.
Saturday evening Rob and I babysat for some friends of my parents and we had a thoroughly good time. I plaited Abigail's hair and played with Bratz dolls, whilst Rob and Kieran played motor racing on the PS2. After I put them to bed Rob and I watched Spiderman 2 and then played Crash Bandicoot Nitro Races or something which I really liked. Spiderman 2 is really rather good visually. I love the opening credits, as they give just the right period comic book feel.
It was a really great evening, so much so that I felt guilty taking money for it. It was one of those evening when I felt grateful for my relationship in a different way. I'd forgotten how much Rob and I have become friends. We were friends in one way when I had a crush on him all those years ago. But we're best friends now. I can have a great time with him without being sat on his lap, or holding his hand, or talking mush with him. We can have a laugh dissecting a film. Or trying to beat each other at a video game. It's cool just be together. I really am grateful for this.
Rob kipped in our front room, and on Sunday we took Little Car on her first adventure. She went to church, and then she went to Halfords where we got a Shaun the Sheep air freshener because she smelt so bad. We also got a tax disc holder for our newly purchased tax disc, and a demist cloth and some T -Cut to make her all clean and shiny. Then it was off into Trowbridge for a Boots first aid kit, as they're cheaper than Halfords, and to Argos to look at car alarms. Now Little Car isn't really worth anything, and no one would really want to steal her, there are some suspicious people round Rob's way who most people think trashed his moped when they could get it started when they tried to steal it,so we're being on the safe side.
She's going to the posh car wash on Saturday.
I've mostly been knitting a kittyville hat for Lori, and some cool black and white fingerless gloves for Sarah. Pictures when I can. Oh ook I'm tired typing going down hill.
Monday and today have been schooley. I chopped a chunk out my thumb on Monday in Art, trying to make a print block. Which I proudly finished on Monday night at home. My choreography has been going well too. I'm quite excited.
I'm finally actually knitting something for myself. A pair of convertible fingerless gloves mittens in schocking - yes -schocking - pink with quite probably a nice shimmery edging from my Christmas stash. So this is the end of my mighty entry. I'm off to prepare for desperate Housewives, another educational program. Oh you know Like Sex and the City.
How not to live you life....hehe

Woah woah woah....

I'm not going to be lazy I'm going to blog...so first off!

Little Car didn't pass her MOT. :-( But, it's going to cost only a maximum of £200 to fix her.:-) She needs a new back tyre, some break things and something I don't remember exactly and didn't understand what the man at the garage was talking about anyway, though Rob and his dad appeared to. So that's great. With repairs, tax and MOT fee, I will have in effect got a car for £300 which is asaving on £100 on the asking price for other Kia Pride LX's on Autotrader. Ao I'm all happy.

Rob also managed to get fully comprehensive insurance with Tesco Online for the very small amount in insurance land of £750. I mean due to boyracers spoling it for the majority of the male under 25 population Rob was being quoted an averge of £1000 by the major insurers so that's great. We love TESCO!

Again, that reminds me I need to ring the driving instructor now I know when most of my Bugsy rehearsals will be.

Phew...

I'm back on my eating healthily after Christmas, and I feel really energised and confident. I'm currently 54kg which puts me near the overweight bmi mark again, at 24, so I'm aiming for my pre christmas bmi of a healthy 21. My dancing has improved so much with all the decent food i've been eating. Te complex carbohydrates and the chocolate for one week of the month rule really works.

Our family party was on the 8th and I had a really nice time enjoying showing off my fiancé to all the family. My Gran was one of 8 children, so it's her brothers and sisters, their spouses, their children, and the grandchildren. I'm the oldest granchild and so everyonewas really excited by our news. I showed off my ring, and my photos, and my wonderful life book that my mum and dad made for my 18th birthday, a big album filled with photos and pictures and bits of writing for every year of my life so far. Let's hope the page for 2005 will be just as wonderful.

I wore my red ballgown with the sleeves sewn back on for winter wear. I loved it. When I walked down the stairsRob was like "Who's the lucky guy you're going with" which did I have to say kinda make my evening.

Everyone in my family had a kinda red theme going on, as according to my mum, it's the 40th anniversary of out famy party, they've been having a party around christmas time for 40 years! How cool is that. We also have a family picnic in the New Forest in the summer too. It's lovely to feel part of a community like that.

I'm gradually dying my hair darker too.. I just fancy trying a darker colour. Atm I have a wash in wash out golden brown and i'll top it up slowly do I don't get a culture shock from uddenly havingblack hair.llol
