Surrounded by expectation

In the next room, Tom and Sandy are packing up his stuff.

I'm sat opposite a pile of my things all crammed into boxes. The frame work of a build it yourself fitted wardrobe from Ikea rests against the wall.

In the midst of the June sunshine, I'm taking a huge step. Tomorrow, Tom and I will move in together.

To my traditional heart this is slightly backwards, not the done thing. But the modern heart and my brain is leaping and soaring. No more going back to my house. No more hassle with travel. No more wishing we are together.

Just more lazy mornings together. More gardening. More Joy.

I just can't wait.
