We were lucky enough to be invited to the lovely civil partnership of George and Holly in Glasgow in June.
So we drove up many road to Scotland, found the best motorway services in Britain on the way, and stayed in the charming Kirlees Hotel where breakfast is served to your room by uniformed staff amidst middle class Edwardian splendour.
The service that George and Holly had put together was beautiful. I handed over the obligatory unicorn, and then it was off to a grand hall for tasty vegan food and a jolly celidh.
