In other words, I am sewing a dress to wear to graduation. I can't remember the pattern number. It's lovely though. I shall draw you pictures.
This whole dress thing started when researching about the history of the University for the City Museums service. The 1952 regs on academic dress, from when the place first became a uni, said that "female graduand may like to match their dress to the colour of their silk"
Like a Red Rag to a Bull....
The edge of BA Silks is bright fuschia pink. Now I couldn't wear a completely bright pink dress to graduation, but a dress with pink trimmings...so doable!
