Under this kind of system, people who are making more lose so much from taxes that they do not reap the benefit of what they sow. Its not that they just get taxed a bit more- they are barraged with taxes. Sure we can say, "Well, they don't NEED those big houses, cars, private schools, etc" but that's not the point. If we raise their taxes simply because they make more, then they will struggle paying the mortgage, tuition fees, etc for the things they have. Why not take a certain <I>percentage</I> from everyone and then we all lose a fair amount based on our wages? One thing I hated about Republicans in America was their "rich get richer, poor get poorer" policies--but I hated the Democrats for their "poor stay poor, rich get poorer, too".<BR/><BR/>Eh, just my thoughts when I read that. :)Lorihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03930297930585563516noreply@blogger.com
