First trip to France of 2015
So we went off to France with John for a long weekend of intense DIY in preparation for August's trip of less intense DIY and holidaying. Alongside learning how to cut tiles, grouting, filling and putting up skirting board, we got the record deck going for John, and had a lovely evening dancing and boozing.
I just love the view from my Father in Law's house. |

Dad insisted John looked good in the cowboy hat he had lying around for some reason |

Leave me near spray roses and I can't help putting them in my hair. I need to get a spray rose bush for my garden. A yellow one I think. |
I of course went to the patisserie. They package up your tasty cakes in a pastry pyramid... |
....with a handy carrying handle so they don't get squashed. |
We had a mousse chocolat lait et fraise, a chocolate royal and a fraisier. |
Yum! |
DIY update
Right - so the bathroom is all installed, and we've chosen paint colours for the Bathroom and the Living Room. The sanded floors in the Hall and the Living room are looking lovely.
We're going to go for the Crown Moijto , bottom right, that we had in our living room in the old house. |
For the Bathroom we've gone for Valspar Tribal Headdress, middle, bottom row. The name annoys me but it's a lovely deep teal. |
Summer scenes
So Emily made Twinkle an amazing sushi cake for his birthday meal at a sushi restaurant.
I did some wedding flowers for a church friend's daughter...
My little little sister came to stay - we fed her Greek food in the sunshine.
We bought a BBQ, Verity and I assembled it, and we used it to great success under the pop up Gazebo we've never had the chance to use before.
I managed to get to Mottisfont before the roses finished - here they are looking lovely on a late night opening.
And here's my little flower bed of housewarming gifts brightening the garden up!
